About Us
Company 1 is the primary provider of fire suppression, first response EMS, hazmat and technical rescues in North Branford.
Company 1 responds to nearly 1000 calls annually as a 100% home response volunteer fire department.
North Branford Fire Department Headquarters Company 1 covers a response area from the Guilford, Branford and East Haven town lines contiguously north up until 305 Forest Rd or 600 Totoket Road.
This response area includes Tilcon of North Branford, Evergreen Woods, a RWA water treatment facility and several Lakes including the southern end of Lake Gailard.

What services do you provide?
The North Branford Fire Department provides an all-hazards emergency response service. The department also operates 2 ALS paramedic transport ambulances.
How fast is your emergency response?
Company 1 is a home response department and averages an approximate 7-minute response.
Do you inspect homes for fire safety?
Home fire safety inspections can be coordinated through the fire marshals office.
Do you offer fire safety training?
During the month of October, fire prevention month, fire safety training is coordinated with the Fire Marshalls office at all local elementary and preschools.
